I have a pair of speakers using the focal 8k 5412 subwoofer one is not working ( open circuit). Try as I may I am unable to find a replacement speaker, voice coil or substitute speaker ( would need two ).
Any thoughts here greatly appreciated.

focal 8k 5412 are woofers, not really subwoofers. 20 years ago I made speakers with them, two way. I like them very much, now I have them in 3- way. Nothing exceptional in numbers, you should find many similar replacement woofers.

Thank you for your reply. I had found the info for the woofer haven’t managed to find a suitable replacement. Cheers
If it's gone open circuit and hasn't been abused, ie thermally or mechanically, then it's possible that the fault is between the join between the voice coil and the tinsel leads that go to the terminals. This is a common point of failure and could easily be fixed with some careful soldering.
You'd have to go investigating where the break in the circuit is though.

Thanks I will check into it.If it's gone open circuit and hasn't been abused, ie thermally or mechanically, then it's possible that the fault is between the join between the voice coil and the tinsel leads that go to the terminals.
