These are old-stock Dayton Audio speakers that were used for OPSODIS testing. They have less than 100 hours on them and were never mounted on a baffle. Zaph Audio, who has helped Madisound.com build speakers, has a very positive review of these. Best of all, you will be receiving RS52 speakers that were assembled and tested in India, not China like the newer version. I also listed these on ebay if you are wondering.

Zaph Audio Review:
"Excellent performing 2" dome midrange with a very wide, smooth bandwith and low distortion. Can be crossed over relatively high though the breakup will need some attention. Low end distortion is clean, and as a result the lower limit crossover point depends only on how loud the driver will be played. My initial estimate is 500 Hz LR4 or 800 Hz LR2. A conjugate LCR trap will likely have to be used to flatten this driver's impedance. This driver has a well designed motor with faraday shielding."
