FS: Merlin Acoustics TSM-M, Ruby Red Metallic, Great Condition, MA/NH Local

Selling my prized Merlin TSM-M bookshelf speakers in Ruby Red Metallic Hi-Gloss Premium finish. The sound is excellent.

I also have a pair of Atlantis Reference welded metal, powder coated speaker stands, with spikes that are a perfect match for these speakers. The stands are filled and heavy. Will be expensive to ship.

$1200 as a package. Local only to MA/NH

The speakers have three very minor flaws.
1) One pencil-tip-sized nick on the top-left-rear of one speaker. Hardly noticeable. Looks like a spec of dust.
2) Bottom of one speaker has a chip in the paint from the previous owner using Blue Tack to keep them from falling of the stands. The Blue Tack was so strong, a dime-size piece of paint peeled off. It's on the very bottom and cannot be seen unless you flip the speaker over.
3) The RC circuit, or "Zobel network" that Merlin sold as a $450 option for this speaker was recreated by me, using the same components as the originals including Musicap film/foil caps (Hovland no longer makes caps, and the products are rebranded under the Musicap name now).

These speakers retailed for about $3000 and are hand-assembled, low production, highly regarded gems. And since Bobby's un-timely death last year, they won't be made again. Serial # 3296.

RIP Bobby P.
