I’m having a hard time finding a in-line fuse holder for 4/0 gauge wire .
If I make a fuse holder myself what should I use to the blocks brass, copper, aluminum ?
Since the fuse holder will be under the hood I don’t want it to corrode and give me issue down the road

Copper would be the best choice, all else being equal. If you don't want it to corrode, tin it with solder.
I searched for 4 guage fuse holder...
EDIT: 4/0 is not #4. My bad. Are you really looking for a fuse holder for #0000 wire?

Yes looking for one for 4/0 (0000) gauge wire .
But I think I figured out a different way and use 1 spot of my distribution block for this .
Since this wire is from the alternator to the back battery can’t I just use 1 spot on my fused distribution block so if something happens to the run of wire it kills the fuse in the back cutting power off to that wire .
Or would it be wise to put a in line fuse holder on both needs of the wire
Like 1 at the output of the alt and 1 at the back of the truck to the battery

Historically one DIYs it using Spauldite, Benelex J or similar mounting material and industrial T&B or similar properly torqued, corrosion proof bolt, flat, spiral lock hardware and wire terminated with properly crimped ring tongue connectors, anti-corrosive lubricant/sealant.
As a one time deal too expensive for most, so while best to pay your local battery installer or industrial power & controls distributor to make them, though nowadays there's vehicle, Marine options, so more to (re)search.
