just got new tyre from tascam ninja- i tryed it with no glue- started sqwealing- whats the best glue for this please?
A few weeks ago the tyres on my bandsaw at work disintegrated, requiring replacement. I nabbed some 1/8 rubber sheet from down stairs, used a Stanley knife and ruler to cut strips, mounted a pully in the lathe, covered the rim with willco's " stick it - all purpose adhesive " ( in a blue tube ), then stuck on the rubber strip whilst rotating the lathe chuck by hand, then I tightly covered it with Sellotape, to both hold it in place and keep the rubber in contact either side of the crown. After leaving it for the weekend I replaced the wheel on the bandsaw ( Sellotape still in place ) and it's run OK ever since. I presume the sellotape has worn off by now. Hopefully, since you're in the UK there's a willco close by.
There's probably better glues, best to give any other advice precedence over mine.

ShoeGOO is wonderful stuff, but it STINKS.
Used to stink worse. I think they took some of the worst chemicals out.
GOOP is not the same goo. E6000 in a tube is similar but ShoeGOO is better.
I have not tried ShoeGOO II; it may be New Coke.
I d not know if you can get this stuff over there, but here is the Euro catalog:
