good speakers for my jlaudio amp?

I have a JL Audio 500/5 amp. It sends 250 to the sub, 100x2 to the front and 25x2 to the back. My fronts are blown, and I am looking to replace.

Some that have come up in the forums are:
Morel Tempo 6
Hertz HSK (and MK)
Image Dynamics CTX65cs comp
SPX-17REF - Alpine 6.5" Type-X

Higher end:
Morel Dotech Ovation 6
Hertz MK2
Rainbow (actually a bunch of models $250-$600; not sure which to go with)

I am leaning towards Morels, Hertz or Rainbows

My question is: will all of these speakers handle the power from the amp; or are any of them either under or over powered? I have heard, for example, that the Hertz MK2 needs a ton of wattage to sound good, and can sound like crap if <100 watts.

Well I think that you should look into some MB Quart mids and highs for the front. Maybe check out some of the JL Audio's also. However Kicker makes a nice line of mids and highs, as well as coaxels. It all depends on how much you want to spend. But overall MB Quart has some of the best mobile audio components that you will ever hear.

Is a matter of efficiency, the lower the spl the more amp power you will need to get the same volume. Higher wattage drivers tend to be less efficient, though not always. Higher efficiency drivers tend to be harder to tune but go louder, in general. I'd try to listen to some of those if you can, or search forums for owner opinions and other tests/etc. Some of the high price drivers you pay for the name, but its all in what you want. Some people really like the Pioneer PRS drivers too, and you can always go with morel/peerless/dayton/etc active.
