h-erbridge invert

hi mastodon, due to research in the net i found some circuits that was posted in pdf which uses a booster to convert 12vdc to 240vdc then to a full bridge circuit and a controller that switches some mosfet transistors to form a pwm 60hz output.so i started with dc-dc side which i use sg3525 to produce 850-20khz oscillations directly to mosfet gate. irf50n to drive the primary side of a ferrite core transformer and a2200uf filter cap electrolytic next is a blocking diod capable of blocking 3a of current.the primary winding of the transformer is 9+9 turns of 5 strands of s.w.g 30 in parallel at 12v. then the output 70t from 2 strands of s.w.g 26, when i tested it unfortunately their was no output from the secondary side and the fet got hot rapidly and a hissing sound from the transformer which i don't know why? pls i need a reply thanks for your assistance.

How much frecuency are you using? I dont know exactly what is the correct value for the cap, but i think than 2200uF for 2 amper, at 20khz, is a lot. For example, the power supplies pc, use a cap of 2200uf, switching in 50khz aprox., and carry out about 12amp current.
And the diode must response to this frecuency, see that, the response is in ns (nano seconds) in the .pdf datasheet. With this parameter you can calculate the freq max of conmutation that support the device.

I hope was help you. And excuseme for the language, im from argentina and cant type in english.

Bye

H-bridge inverter

Hi pluis,
thank you for the reply.I am also a non english person, your english is even beta than mine.
About our topic the freqency i tested was 890khz to 20khz maximum, ajlso in the diagram their is no such data about thn nano seconds thing, pls a fomular may help beta and my configuration is buck converter but they use push-pull which one is the best let me know if you know though in one article they said that switching the mosfet directly with n chanel wil not sink the current completly befor the next circle so they use an emitter follower to solv that problem.
You are right, the blocking diod is a normal rectifier diod but my problem is converting high current to high voltage(240vdc),and it will also help alot if you have any circuit with correct parts list and a little bit simple thanks for your care.Awaiting for repply.
