HI!
my name is Vincent and I own and run a studio/record label in a small village in Germany called binary pleasures.
I was interested in sounds and textures from a very young age and also love repairing and modifying electronics and equipment I use to work on music.
Now I would love to slowly step into the DIY speaker game but I am very overwhelmed by all the information both in the physical (acoustical) and electronic domain.

Hello Vincent, I like these 15 inch fullranges most, I aluminized them (my thread):
as a studio engineer I would go for the 15 inch (difficult to get as it is out of stock) or the 12 inch.
Here review about dsp use to get a linear speaker.

I would put it in a low tuned reflex box. And for availability take the 12 inch and aluminize it.
I would not correct loudspeakers in main listening position but only in the nearfield correcting the driver itself, not the room.
Nice music you make!

The drivers are ready. Will see if I manage to install them and make measurements.
Aluminized small double cone with thin foil from the goldsmith.
