hello guys ... i have a problem on my marantz pm50. Turned back on after some time ... I connect two 6ohm speakers ... but I hear some bangs / noises coming from the speakers. I turn off turning on same story again after a while. At some point absolute silence. The amplifier now turns on but the protection relays on the speakers (normally open I think) do not close (no click) and the amplifier obviously remains silent. No audio ending in short (measured dual +/- 50v on all 4). No sign of burns. Where would it make more sense to start from? from the annoying integrated skt3062 or from the relays themselves? I believe that the relays do not close because they see something upstream before it malfunctions and therefore remain open. After being completely dumbfounded, he also left for a few seconds but only after a long time on. Can those relays have a timing circuit that is moving on to a better life? I would like to put it back together in an aesthetic condition, as if new. someone help me or have the wiring diagram. Thanks in advance greetings Mino
There will be DC on the speaker terminals, before the relay. The TA7317 detects abnormal levels and will not switch the relay.
I know that the relays could cause problems and might need replacing. Perhaps you can measure those first?
after a good general cleaning and several ignition attempts ... the amply started the relays energized and closed ... 5seconds then sounded new creaking noises and direct current in a loudspeaker ... then the relays opened again . Re-activating the same story but this time it sounds for 10 seconds then protection as before. The third time it starts and rings for about an hour. I guess it's some component that doesn't go cold at this point. Tips ??
Is it normal for the stk3062 integrated circuit to warm up a lot after about 15 minutes of use?
the delay in closing the relays is proportional to the time that remains off to discharge or cool down, I can't say well ... problems on the protection relays timer circuit? does anyone have a wiring diagram kindly? I doubt that it may also be some capacitor that struggles to charge and works better when the load is just turned off ?? of use?
