Help needed with a transamp mic preamp circuit.

Hi, I'm new to both this website and this project that I'm about to take on.
I bought this circuit on eBay hoping to build a preamp unit from it.
It doesn't seem to be as straight forward as I would have liked but nevertheless it should be a good learning experience...

I don't totally understand where to connect input, power and output.
The more I look at it the more it seems that I have to create a circuit at either end.

From the schematic I think that I understand what is needed component wise but not sure what exactly to do for output.

I have worked in an electronics factory building circuits but did not understand
exactly what was happening. However I did learn at least what the parts were
and did gain some soldering skills.

Any advice or help I'll be appreciated.

RV2 & RV3 & RV5 are to optimise CMRR = Common Mode Ratio Reduction, not eq. If you don't have an Oscilliscope to test & alter them correctly, you "could" easily screw things up !

RV4 looks like a DC offset control. Again if not set properly, it will mess things up.

Quite honestly if you're not sure of what you're doing, i would go for a more simpler, but still good, circuit. Where in the world are you ? When you let me know i'll give a link to some vendors that should be able to supply what you need.
