Help with Hypex SMPS1200A400

Hypex documentation is confusing to me.
I connect 120VAC to J2, install jumper on J3 and relay clicks but I don`t get any readable voltage on J1 . Is there some kind of trigger needed?

Sorry, I`m new to hypex SMPS. don`t want to screw anything up.
I`m planning to build an amp with two UcD 400.

Are you testing between pin 1 and pin 3 or 6 (ground)?

Just be very careful not to short it out. They are very unforgiving when it comes to shorts. Instantly destroyed. I just blew one up today by accident.

I have cable kit from hypex no open connectors testing. Thanks for the warning though.
Any insight on my question? how to start it up?
I`m testing 2-3 and 5-6. according to Hypex papers that`s where main voltages are.
Hypex should clearly work some more on their documentation. modules directed to diy should have idiot proof diagrams.
i don`t want to experiment with 200 bucks power supply when I need to connect 150 bucks amplifier modules.

I burned pair of UdC180 once by disconnecting input RCA on hot amplifier. puff and two modules were gone.

got reply from Hypex:
Supply should switch on once the mains is applied on J2. For 115 operation J3 should be shorted. Other connections are not required.
Tested and got about 66V on pos and neg side, so it works.

would probably start build log for everyone to see.
always used linear PS for hypex modules, trying SMPS for a first time.

Glad you got it sorted.

Thank you Mike! It works, Hypex response time is impressive. Jos is very helpful if you need help with your blown SMPS. Perhaps even warranteed.

No problem. Yes I know. I've talked to him lots. I emailed him about this yesterday and he didn't respond yet. I want to try to fix myself instead of spending the $80 postage to send back. I was hoping he could tell me which part likely blew.
