I bought a pair of KLH twenty three 2 way speakers in 1974 and used them about 8 years, then opened up (resistance) one tweeter. I bought some replacement Peavey's, but have been toting the KLH's around through 2 moves, I liked them. I see on the "M" supplier that everybody in the western US deals with that their website has a "speaker selector". I can figure out the construction (paper cone) diameter, (3") and probably impedence, at least DC resistance. Is there some more scientific measurement I can make on the one that works that will help me select something that might match sonicly?
Incidently my driver amp was a dynakit Stereo 70, not exactly overpowered and not known for RF oscillations. My previous speaker set, a pair of LWE 3's, also blew a tweeter.

Hi indianajo,
Welcome to diyAudio.
You can see by the reference numbers in the back, the tweeter you need, maybe similar to this one.

I may have a pair of the correct KLH tweeters kicking around... do they have a metal screen in front with fiberglass behind?
