Please check it if that serves your purpose.

1. Pin 11 is for VCC and Pin 8 and 14 for GND as per datasheet. ( Double check it please )

2. Audio input is at pin 2, may be there is a coupling cap.

3. Pin 10 and 12 are for speaker output via 1000mFd caps. ( in your case the yellow+ green and blue+white, i guess)

I guess the circuit has a conventional Bass Treble Volume control .
The lower part of the PCB in the first pic is usually the preamp/ active tone control as I guess. The Flat Ribbon cables are usually for dual Bass and dual Treble controls ( 3+3 and 3+3).

Please check it many times before connecting ( I destroyed some 4440s in my adolescence )

And welcome to the forum

The 3 core Shielding wire is used for the signal input to connect your music source in this kit as it is seen in the second photo. Possibly they are connected to the place you need to mount the dual volume control potentiometer. As I can see the balance is unused.

Most likely a passive tone control section is used.

The Red and Yellow wire (near the middle-left side in the second photo) might be some kinda Voltage regulation to power up another section as I can see there is a transistor Q2. May be a +5v output for USB mp3 kit?

All I posted here is a mere guess work from your posted photos and might not be accurate. It is the best to follow a literature if any that ususally comes with the kit.

All the best.
