Name is Chris and I am working on taking a 1950's Zenith console and replacing the long-dead guts with newer (albeit pretty cheap for now) components. Keeping the the existing speakers but replacing pretty much everything else.

That’s a good question, honestly… Amplifiers Solid State or Loudspeakers multi-way would be good. As there isn’t a forum that it clearly would fall into, either of those would be fine.
