I'm new to this, and have been wanting to build my own power based on either one of the power amps: Marshall el34 50/50 or VHT 2/50/2.
I have a few questions, since I have never done this before (build a power amp in general) but the idea of doing it fascinates me, and at least in theory saves me money.javascript:smilie('

1. Has anyone here build one based off of these or a similar (i.e "guitar" power amp)?
2. Does anyone have a schematic for either (I've noticed that some people have the schematic for fenders and the like... and I prefer the VHT more)?
3. Does anyone have recommendations as to where to buy parts to build a amp of this magnitude (for me at least)?
4. Or recommendations on something else, like kit of similar scale and performance?
5. Any recommendations overall to a beginner?
I want to build a high grade amplifier with such things as two channels (50 watts each side) and a combination of the two for a total of 100 watts. That's all I will ever need.
