I have a chance to buy a set of 3 JAMO's Legendary "CONCERT 8 speakers in cherry color
Are these any good ? Hard to find any new info about them. I can get them for a steal of a price. Any and all info would be welcomed

They were very well regarded back in their day, 20 odd years ago? Not cheap either.
I heard a set very briefly in at a hi-fi store, not set up terribly well but they sounded clean to my ears, reminded me a little of my Sennheiser HD580 headphones. This was a long time ago so don't quote me.
How cheap can you get them?

I’ll say this, I pay more on my water bill per month then I will on these speakers. Lol

I’ll clean them up and make them look the best I can. I may just flip them or do a trade for a newer avr or something
If they're that cheap I'd buy them just for fun. Seas magnesium driver and a well made box, yes please.

I'd be making a couple of subs for them or even just go active and place them on their own woofer towers, relieve them of the need to do bass. I'm doing something like that myself at the moment.

Not sure if they are Seas. Yes, they do have a metal cone and a copper coloured phase plug, but the baskets are different. A similar appearance does not guarantee a similar motor structure or similar performance.
They were released a long time ago so my memory is pretty fuzzy but I seem to recall them being touted as Seas, it was one of their selling points.

They are definitely seas drivers. I'd want to redesign the crossover to push the tweeter as low as it can go and get the woofers third harmonic out of the way as much as possible but otherwise these are awesome speakers.
Very good speakers with excellent dynamics, but tweeter a little bit prominent. Easy to fix in the crossover.

I’m a collector of audio gear. And when I find gear that’s in working order, and of a rare vintage. There’s no way in hell I’d part them out. To many people do this. They only made a few sets of there’s and the drivers where made just for these, so no off the shelf replacement parts. I also have a set of svs speakers and center with seas drivers and they only made 200 sets. They look pretty close to these

Seems to be plenty of information on modding them for better performance?
I'm currently running a bit of a mish mash with a passive two way actively crossed over to a 15 woofer and it's really raised the performance to another level. Something you could consider too.
