install protel 99SE on Win7 64 bits

Hello everyone.
I hope I am on the right forum and this is my first Thread.

I'm new on this site,and I don't practice English very well,

Please help me.

Here is my problem

For the third time, I tried to install Protel 99 SE ( March 30, 2014 latest version) on Win 7 professional 64 bit.

The result is far from being perfect.

Here are some questions:

I do not understand why service pack 5 is provided with the package? (I believe Service Pack 6 already contains all previous service packs. So I didn't install it?

I get error message when applying the crack provided. Should it be applied after initial installation ( service pack2) or after applying service pack 6?

I applied the patch (found on your site) on Client99SE.exe regarding the use of libraries. The result seems OK.t

Very often Protel 99 SE application does not answer and an application error message offers to stop it or to wait it answering, (which can be very long or never happen!).

Altium has not provided support for Protel 99 SE for a long time so one has to wonder exactly what it is you have installed.. 😀

Might want to uninstall, reinstall, and then install each and every service pack in sequence. Apply the "crack" at the end of installation.

Sorry for not having replied earlier but I've been away long enough.
I resume my problem.
I tried one more time to do what you specify, but always without success.
Apparently after of what I read on the net, some people operate Protel 99SE under win 7 pro 64 bit, and others not.

Is there a version that work better than the other and where to find it ?
