INT-25 Power supply

I just neatened up the photo a bit... a lot of things can be learned from this one.

The integrated uses a different power supply. Everything is on a single board, rectifiers and inrush limiting and a second small transformer to keep the standby circuitry running. This is now currently used in both units.

At the moment it's the only one.

And yes, I drink a cup of coffee in the morning while I peruse the forums at diyAudio to see what mischief the Greedy Boyz are up to.

One could infer from that statement that we may see more PL amplifiers using the Hockey Pucks. Makes one ponder what a balanced Hockey puck amp without degeneration would look like (replacement for XA30.8?!?!).

Both are XA25. However, one seems to be an earlier version, with no PCB for MOSFETs and a single high-power resistor vs. paralleled 5W Panasonics. The toroid shielding seems to differ as well.

Any other differences? Which one is a later version, and how can one be sure to get the later version? Would the serial numbers tell? If YES, how?

The bottom pic upper board says R2, possibly meaning revision 2 compared to R1 on the top pic, on the bottom right corner (printing is upside down). Maybe this one is the “newer” iteration
