Hello, I am new to electronics. It has recently become a hobby. I have built a few guitar pedals and small amps. My project I'm working on now is an irf510 amp. The schematic is by beavis audio. I would like to add a pre amp and I have tried the ehx lpb1 booster, but it seems to bring the volume down a lot. What is going on?
I will ask Mystic Meg. She will stare deep into her crystal ball and tell you not only what you have done, but also what you are about to do. She only charges £5 per session.
If you can't afford her fee then a cheaper alternative is to tell us exactly what you have done, with diagrams etc. We need these because, unlike Meg, we can't read your mind.

Ha ha ha, absolutely........😛

How do I do that? I have a multimeter. Like I said I am a beginner with this stuff. I have done what the schematic said and measured 1/2 of the supply voltage at the drain of the transistor.
