as far as replacing caps, i wouldn't touch it; just enjoy your amp, it's a nice one.
if you just have an itch to tweak something, mess with the xcelinear adjustment trimmer cap. and don't use a metal screwdriver.

ok, ok, I give ...
😀😛🙂
if you think the caps are "old" or may have been damaged/weakened by heat, go ahead and recap.
agree with the other folks that i'd pass on the "beautique" part$$$; get some good panansonics from digikey or mouser.

spend that money on the music!

hafler xl280 - caps or exlinear adjustment

one chanel of my xl280 is weaker than the other - the bass just doesn't pop on one side like it does on the other - I have swapped the speakers and confirmed this with my family so I am pretty sure this is whats going on. is this an adjustment or should I start looking for a bad cap??😕

havent gotten that far - was given the hafler and just plugged an ipod into to it (mini jack to rca) - the ipod connected to the receiver that was hooked up to the speakers that are now hooked up to the hafler was balanced if that helps - it is weird - the subject speakers are old klipsch kg4's and the passive radiator of the speaker that is hooked up to the "good channel" has a lot of movement in it while the other doesn't - the highs and middle ranges sound fine
so - when you start listening everything sounds fine until you realize all the real bass (such as it is) is coming from one side?
thanks for your response
