Hiya!
I got my hands on a pair of JBL D2415K comp drivers + 4349 waveguides.
I'm thinking of building a pair of monitors, with a 12" bass/midrange + maybe a sub driver also in a floorstanding design.
What is a suitable crossover frequency for the D2415Ks, and what would be a great choice for 12" drivers - maybe matching visually with a 12" sub driver also?

12" mid
12" sub
I have a BSS BLU-100 available for DSP/X-over.

I would start by checking Toole's 3rd edition. He has numerous tests with JBL gear strewn throughout the book.

Where\how you got 4349 waveguides?)))
I do not understand why 4349 crossed @1500.

Wrong waveguide the 4349 has a 3/4" throat compression driver.
Rob 🙂
That shouldn't bum you down. M2 is a great waveguide.
ErnieM always has great tips for 12"/15" so you might ask him. He follows the industry and knows what has latest technology incorporated in design.

Thanks Zvu,
A little late but I'll put my 0.02 in anyway.
AE TD12M still appears to be the best 12" midbass for home use. The TD12H would make a nice matching compact woofer section.
Oberton makes some interesting drivers. The 12NXL400 paired with the 12NSW600 would be a great alternative.
12NXL400
12NSW600
There are plenty of other drivers that would work but these offer better motors than most. BMS would also work very well but they're usually a little more expensive for similar features found in Oberton.
