I have a JBL EON 518S powered subwoofer. There are 2 inout at the back of the subwoofer. When I connect it using Input 1 the sound cracks and does not come out correctly. However, when I use Input 2 the sound is perfect. I want to fix it but I am not sure where the problem is. I can replace the Input module/board or I can change Amplifier Module.
If the signals from Input 1 and Inout 2 are consolidated before going to the amplifier I am assuming that the problem is the Input Module/Board. If they are not consolidated and the signals from Input 1 and Input 2 are sent separately then the problem could be the amplifier.
Can someone help me. Thanks.

As far as I know, the ins and outs on all the EONs are simply connected together. Not sure about the subs, tho. I suspect that input 1 just has a bad connector or a cracked solder. You can replace it, or replace the module input board, whichever you find easier.

Thanks. I am not sure if they just sell the connector. I know they sell the input module/board which I will replace based on your input.
You're welcome.
Can you get it to act better or worse by wiggling the connector?
No, I tried that and it did not work.
