Running into a problem with my jl audio 500/1v1 input sens gain. The problem i'm running into is. My sub woofer stop playing loud like it once did.The only way i can get my sub to play loud is if i take a flat head screw driver and place it on the input sens gain and move it a little. Once i remove the screw driver the output drops.
Contact cleaner will probably clean it up. Put a couple of drops on top of the plastic part of the pot, wiggle the shaft to make the sections separate slightly to let the cleaner get in and work the control back and forth through its entire range 20, 30, 40 times. That should help.
If you can't get to the inside, turn the pot stop-to-stop ten or more times
with the screwdriver, and that may clean it up enough.
