Hello Audio fans,

Just purchased a new JL Audio JX250/1 amp and 10WXv2-4 10 inch subwoofer. What I really need lots of help/advice on is setting up my new amp with the proper settings (Filter Freq. (Hz), Input Sens., Bass Boost) for my 2013 vw golf 2.5l that has a stock radio (rcd 310) and stock speakers.

My Filter Frequency (Hz) has options: 50, 80, 100, 125, 150, and 200

Input Sensor: Turning knob

Bass Boost: 0 or +12dB

New to all this and don't really have a clue to what settings it should be at. Don't want to mess up my car system/audio.

Thanks in advance!

I think you'd benefit from reading through the basic car audio site (link in sig line below).

Unless someone has the same exact listening preferences and the same vehicle and audio equipment as you do, no one will be able to give you definitive answers.

You don't have 6 preset crossover frequencies or two bass boost frequencies. Those are infinitely variable controls.

Start with the crossover at 90Hz, the gain centered and the bass boost at 0. Adjust from there to make it sound the way you want.
