My jl audio slash 1000 is acting up.
The amp plays for a minute or two until i start to go up in volume then it would cut out and switch to blue low voltage light.
I used the amp for years without issue.
I managed to test the voltage at the amp terminals while it was playing & cutting out.
Voltage measured 13.35 then zap blue light.
I realized right before cut out the amp will sound some what wierd like its losing power then zap blue light.
Please help.
No smoke or funny smell or overheating from the amp either.

The amp is very sensitive to dips in voltage that may be too quick for a multimeter to catch. Do you have a scope?
No i do not own a scope.
I own a multitmeter.
I decided to remove the amplifier to inspect further and realized on the power connection end the ground connection socket is somewhat melted & scorched.
Any ideas??
I'm using recommended 4 gauge power wire.

If those terminals show signs of overheating, the voltage could be dropping there. They can be resoldered but melted plastic around the terminals can make it somewhat difficult. IT also takes a relatively powerful soldering iron to do properly.
Are you using pure copper wire or is it CCA?

The CCA wire is known for this. Virtually all termination points are at risk.
Don't disassemble the amp yet.
Is the terminal block melted.

No its not melted.Although i took off the backplate to take a closer look.
It seems the ground middle terminal has a hairline crack on the solder joint to the board.
It was kinda hard to spot coz the control panel daughter board was in the sight of clear view.

Although it's possible, if the plastic isn't melted, there isn't likely any problem with the solder connections.
If it's tight, you may have to cut the wire and remove individual strands until the tension is low enough to turn the screw.
Whatever you do, don't strip the head of the screw.
A 'drop' of penetrating oil may help. Apply from where the wire goes in.
