Not sure if surface area, build quality or power has any correlation here....let me know if any of you have tested this out before. Meaning running 1 8 inch sub with twice the power or 2 subs half the power.
4 door soft top jeep wrangler. Subs most likely won't make any difference when the top is down.

I assume those models are the same size.
You'd need 400W and twice the excursion in order to get the same SPL from one speaker.
With two drivers, I think you can lower the space required for one driver in half, if you use an isobaric configuration (or in a tapped horn).

Sorry, that's wrong I think.or in a tapped horn.
According to Hornresp (and some posts I skimmed) you could put it in a TH of the same size required for one driver but you'd get better performance.
