About 5 years ago I purchased the KEF Kit 104aB kit off a friend, with the intention of building some new cabinets. Unfortunately I have moved house twice since then and have mislaid the assembly instructions, meaning that I do not know the dimensions, etc to build the cabinets
No problem I thought, I'll just google them - everything is on the internet. Well, after hours of searching online I have not been able to find a copy of them. The KEF site has the original owners manual for the non-kit version, but not the assembly instructions.
Does anyone have a copy, or could someone please point me to where I can find it.
Thanks in advance.

KEF Model 104 Loudspeaker System Manual | HiFi Engine
KEF - Reference Series Model 104 (1973-76) and 104aB (1976-80) - United States
The links have the external dimensions and some other info. The speakers use a passive radiator so I assume will not need a port; you could build a box out of 3/4" MDF /ply with those external dimensions.
Is the crossover assembled, or do you need the schematic also? If you can't get the crossover diagram, you could list the parts here and someone could work it out. Given the age of the kit there would only be a few parts, anyway.
It should be possible to work out the driver spacing etc with a scale drawing, as you have their dimensions.

The salient information I have found from the kit manual is that the enclosure volume is 36 litres.
Given that the kit comes with a pre-prepared baffle top section, it should be a breeze to work out the necessary cabinet dimensions to produce a 36 litre internal volume.

KEF104ab were my first ‘audiophile’ speaks. Still very fond of the set I own. Love the aesthetic.
For the record - here's a good image of the pre-prepared mid/tweeter baffle and pre-prepared crossover board that come in the kit.

I worked at a KEF dealer at the time these were available, they never made it across the pond, and this thread the 1st[/sub] i have heard f it.
It should be fairly straightforward, the box can certainly be better built than the factory one s(use good plywood and add braces. Pretty much as long as the net volume is the same, and the drivers fit on the baffle you have some wiggle room. The PR does not actually have to go on ethe front.
And mirror image them.

They should be replaced with modern bipolar (non-polar) electrolytic capacitors as a matter of course.
I have, and would replace with poly caps.

I did the same, Falcon Acoustics used to stock all the odd values (.6uf , 3.3, 5uf) in ClarityCap ESA. They only offer them in Solen caps now.
Alternatively they do offer new electrolytics KEF 104aB REPLACEMENT CAPACITOR SET

Thanks everyone, like you pointed out as I have the kit baffles I can figure out the dimensions from there. I have looked at the recapping kit available, and it will be something I might attempt after I have a pair of cabinets to put everything in.
KEF 104aB kit cabinets
Hi...... I built a pair of these in 1980 and still have the full KEF instructions to make the cabinets. .

Hi, I’ve not logged in here for a while so only just seen your post. I still haven’t made the cabinets, lockdown has kept me home. Though I have spent the time making a CMoy headphone amp using the kmteh pcb.
Do you think you could show me a copy of the relevant pages please?

Cool, Wieslaw. A scan i did (you can see my values placed on the XO diagram), from an official documant straight from KEF (late ‘70s), part of a big blue binder of really interesting stuff and a live set of 104ab.
