I have a Kenwood Basic C1 and one channel just quit on all inputs. I haven't opened it yet, but anyone know if this is a common problem and if there is something I should check first? I don't mind troubleshooting it, but if this is a common problem with a known fix, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Mike

Dirty tape switch contacts, or sometimes tone, direct or mute switch, are very common causes. Buy a can of DeOxit. Operating the switches often brings the sound back. The C1 only has tap and subsonic switches. If it's not one of those, it's likely a dry joint or wire-wrap problem.
