You'll have to measure the voltage going to the FM signal indicator lamp.

Okay so a related issue, kindoff. A rogue white wire (one of two) (see here circled in Black next to my digit) that connects to the small lamp that sits atop the 'FM wand' that moves left to right!!
I cant figure out where its came from, it must have just snapped when I've been prying around.
it must go to one lug on the encircled black plate?
Oddly the lamp which is the FM indicator (circled in red) now lights up if I touch the rogue wire to the red circled lug. (I know that was a dodgy thing to do and honestly I'm not going to try anything else untiI I get some pretty sound advice on where it needs to be soldered to.
This obviously is coming from someone that knows minimal electrics.

Service manual with a schematics (e.g. from Elektrotanya) would help you...I cant figure out where its came from,

If you examine the solder terminals carefully, you may be able to spot the portion of the broken wire that is still soldered to one of them.
A magnifying glass could help you find it.
Cheers man 👍
Sorted. Turned out that if you remove the small lamps it breaks the circuit even if they are blown although one wasn't ). The snapped wire leading to the tuner wand was joined to one of the other lamp terminals that lit the panel and these are in a circuit line.
I've probably just made up a new set of electrical terminologies there. Apologies to the electrical engineers on here. 😜

Some Japanese sets used the fascia lamps as a fuse, so for somebody unfamiliar, it can cause head scratching to people trying to find the fault.
On an old set with obsolete hard to find parts, extreme caution is best.
I would get the manual, check with a meter, and then try repairs.
And my first preference is LED or automotive lamps, the axial 'fuse' type bulbs were common as interior lamps in cars, a 5-10 Rupee item in retail here (5-10p UK).
