Looking for 8 Ohm load resistors - source?

Hi all-

A couple years back I got some nice 8 Ohm 300W non-inductive resistors. I'd like to get more but I can't find a source anywhere. Does anyone here know where they might be found? Many thanks.

Thanks, but I'm looking for non-inductive resistors.

There used to be a gent on eBay named 'electronics-salon'. if I recall I got some from him but he seems to have disappeared.

He wouldn't happen to be a forum member, would he?

I did some measurements of power resistors. These guys https://www.ebay.com/itm/2753843313...m8kzMwMc9RV5JMFHYCKArtxaeU|tkp:Bk9SR8bB1OLUYQ for $3.00 were as non inductive as the premium Dale NH version. 3' of 12 AWG zip cord has more inductance than either. The $3 resistors do need heat sinking. Actually a bucket of water works quite well. And at $3 ea. replacing them when they corrode is not a big issue. The inductance would be an issue at 1 MHz and above, but you would not be using 8 Ohms at that frequency constructively.

I have a pair of non inductive resistors I have used over the years for testing amps, but if I were to do again ( and I probably will) I will build a load with built in attenuation so I can tie it to a sound card to test for distortion. I believe on Bonsai’s web site (contributing member) he has a nice discussion on measuring amps and has a layout for such.
