Loth-X Drivers

Hi I also have some Polaris speakers which are wonderful. The Polaris drivers were made by Stefan Stamm but he no longer makes them.

see this article Loth-x Polaris [English]

and see this website for Song Audio. I am not sure if Song Audio is still in business -they used to sell the Loth-X Troubador which I think is the same or similar to the Polaris : SONG Audio

I had to get my Stamm drivers reconed recently (because I blew them by accident!). My dealer helped me locate this company in Germany Voxativ Loudspeakers

for english language see Voxativ Loudspeakers

They make very high quality drivers which will be similar, although probably more expensive, but he arranged for my Stamm cones to be reconed by Voxativ. You might ask id their driver will replace the Stamm or whether they will help you find some Stamm drivers as they may have had some in for repair.

good luck

Hi, I don't think you will find it very easy to get any Stamm drivers as they are no longer made. I believe quite a few Loth-X speakers were distributed in Singapore so you might be able to find some second-hand Stamm drivers in singapore either separate or included in cabinets. As I said in my earlier thread you should try Song Audio or Voxativ (see Meet And Greet Voxativ, Singapore HiFi Show 2011, Voxativ RMAF 2011). The dealer in London from whom I bought my Polaris may still have a pair of Stamm drivers and cones although I do not know if he would be willing to sell them but you coud contact him. He is Adrian at www.audioflair.co.uk and is a good guy to deal with. Good luck.
