LT spice - how to prevent saving RAW and FFT files

Anyone know if I can prevent LT spice saving RAW, FFT, and TXT files?
When opening folders with the ASC files, there are many huge RAW and FFT files laying there. Is there a way to stop saving those? I have tried going to the save default window and checked off (and on) the various options.
I know it was possible in previous versions. Has this option been taken away on version XVII?

There shouldn't be any rogue files if you have ticked the option to delete them.

...except that, if you close LTspice while a simulation is running, the .log file and the big .raw file get "left behind" in the simulation directory, so you need to keep an eye open for this. It's not a bad idea to do a search for "*.raw" in the file explorer occasionally. They can be safely deleted.

Do you not find any files left over like that delete automatically once you run any simulation again...

Just trying it now for curiosity... closed LT before sim had run and I can see two leftover files. When a sim completes there are normally three plus one text file in the original sim folder.

Running a different sim now and I see the expected temp files.

Now closing the sim... and the original two are still there. Hmmm 🙂

Lets run the original sim now and see if they recreate and delete... and they do.

Interesting. So it seems you have to rerun the original sim to get them to delete on there own.

Isn't it the case that they are overwritten each time you run the sim? At least if the sim is the same file?

I think so Jan.

LT when it closes only seems able to delete left over files related to the sim being run rather than a global delete of all relevant files.
