From the photos it looks like a very short front horn loaded bass reflex rear. The front compression chamber and small throats probably help to control excursion so that more power can be applied without hitting xmax. It doesn't look like a true horn though.

That's my take on it though. The freq response looks like a crested bump - not flat at all -no fancy bandpass chamber here.
 
I thought that the front chamber has to have a port that connects it to the back chamber for it to have bandpass action. Here, the front horn appears isolated from rear chamber or vent. Unless there is a vent located at the bottom of the front chamber and connects to the vent.

I see it now. The front panel forms a chamber in front of the driver with the opening being the flares on the face. The enclosed cabinet volume and bottom ports form the other chamber.

I've always wondered how these were designed. We've got one. It's a disappointment especially compared to the two SS15s I talked people into getting. Pretty boomy and utterly un-musical, rattles like hell, and doesn't get terribly loud before the amp begins soft limiting.

For the standard 6th order BP you have a front chamber that is ported to the outside w/ a duct (in this case a short horn), and a rear chamber that is ported to the outside (in this case the horn opening at the bottom). The driver sits on the dividing baffle between the chambers.
