I’ve got this little amp, power LED fades all the time. It’s not like it goes off and on, it just loses light intensity.
Powering a single Rockford Fosgate T2 12” with it, the bass is really weak...doesn’t smell like something is burnt, smells normal.
Previously I had this amp hooked to a JBL GT5-2402BR, bass was nice but after a couple of hours of playing at high volume (messed up with gain) it stopped working, burning smell came from the port, the subwoofer on the right had the voice coil partially burnt (saying partially cause it still works but only at low volume), the other one survived; when this happened the fuse that was mounted under the hood blew up.
Now I’ve got a few questions:
1. Why did the fuse that is under the hood blew and not the one/ones that is/are on the amplifier?
2. When a subwoofer is getting damaged (in my case), is it possible that it will damaged the amp too?
3. Now referring to my amp issue with power LED fading & weak bass; could it be the high power capacitors/damaged MOSFETs?
4. Is this amp weak for this subwoofer? (Rockford Fosgate T212D4)
Thanks a lot for reading!

1. not enough information about the entire system.
2. yes
3. not enough information to know why that's happening. Does it shut down with nothing connected to the amp's speaker terminals?
4. if it was powerful enough to burn the voice coil when the amp was in perfect working order, no.

1. Using 3 AWG power & ground wires and a 60A fuse, this car has a 120A alternator.

3. No, power LED fades all the time which makes me think the amp has problems.
4. Well, the JBL was 550W RMS, this RF is 1000W RMS wired at 2 ohms.

1. still not enough info and not important at this time.
3. are you sure that the answer is no. If the power LED lights then dims, it sounds like it's shutting down.

The caps are likely OK.
The amp sounds like it'a shutting down with the description of the LED operation.
The amp likely has shorted output transistors.
Pull the side cover and post a photo of the driver board.

Same thing. Type something in the message field then click your image then go back and read what you typed.
Hmm...is it ok now?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

The diagnosis is the same at this point, shorted output transistors. You need to check those before doing anything else.
