Dad recently took a turn for the worse. And his Parkinson's has entered its final stage. He suffers from Sundown syndrome and Psychosis.
So I have been researching up on how to help.
Things we are trying.
1. Calming music, / Nature sounds
2. Guided meditation and breathing exercises.
Then I came across this short clip which says it will help. Its a regular song. But the signal bounces from one ear to the next. To me it just gave me a headache after some time. But they say it helps so I plan to try it.
I also need to look into playing special frequencies.
There are a lot of really old smart guys on this forum. Any help or ideas to help would be much appreciated.
My gut tells me Audio can help. Im just not sure how will share any info I find.

Music played through certain systems can be fatiguing. Not good if you're trying to listen to music and relax, maybe that's important.
Play the music and songs from your old man's time.
Long term memory prooves often well preserved.
It gives comfort and remembrance.

My mother has Parkinson's Disease as well, and she has had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, which is the last option in treatment.
She went to many doctors, and also to help groups.
My conclusions are that there are too many variations within patients at the same stage of the disease to draw general opinions, some have memory loss about recent events, and some forget old events.
Exercise, both mental, and physical, is very important. They must stay active mentally, watch films, play games, whatever their condition permits.
Music can be considered part of this.
And cross check, many doctors are not as thorough as they should be...get a second opinion.
Syndopa+ (Levodopa and Carbidopa) and its variants are known to cause psychological issues in some patients, now other medicines are also available, with same effect, less side effects.
So ask around.
