Hi,
I wonder if anyone uses Class D technology in active DSP horn systems?
Need 4 ways per channel.
The NC502Mp has slightly better data. The power is not needed.
I like class d technique also because of the efficiency in today's time, if you consider that 8 amplifiers are needed 🙂
Which module would you use?
How does class d sound on high efficiency horn systems?
Best Regards
Barossi

Check their datasheets, Hypex NC(-MP) amplifiers are not high efficiency at low to moderate output power (typical for home listening, especially with a highly efficient horn system) at all, so if you want to maximize the amp efficiency and you don't need the power of the larger amp, go for the smaller or even the smallest NC122MP.
I am using 2x Hypex FA253's (consists of a NC252MP + NC100HF for the tweeter) for my active speakers with a horn tweeter, no problem at all, sounds really good, but hey are warm to touch, even at idle.

None, if possible use this one for the tweeters.

For mid/bass/sub Hypex is great.
