Just purchased a new 2005 Chrysler 300. Also purchased a Scosche dash kit and an OEM wiring adapter. However, there is no 12v accessory power coming from the factory radio harness. Has anyone else run into this? Crutchfield advised me to run a 12v myself from the fuse box. However, the fuse box is under the hood with no easy access through the firewall. Since this is a leased vehicle, I'd like to refrain from drilling any new holes. Any other suggestions on how I can tie in to a 12v accessory?

Some vehicals don't have ACC connection. If there is no switched power to the radio, it either never comes on, or stays on all the time. Check the power wires to the radio. There is usually hot all the time, for the clock and station preset memory, and a hot switched that either powers the unit and/or switches it on. If you find that this is the case, you can hook the "remote" wire to this switched power source. The remote wire is not a high current wire, and should take no power from this connecton.
Well you can go through one of the rubber plugs,fairly easy to drill through,and when your done almost invisable.Or you can get out the ol test light and find and tap a wire on the acc line.
a parenthetical note to the Chrysler 300 -- when I was growing up we had the 1967 Chrysler 300 with the 440 Magnum, TNT package -- big honkin 4bbl, dual tuned exhausts, etc. -- my Dad was a fan of Chryslers.

300M ACC power
I have a 2000 LHS, and it didn't have acc power, (Key off power) UNLESS you switch the placement of one of the fuses in the panel on the left side of the dash (Open the door, look at the end of the dash that would be generally be covered by the door when closed. It's a sort of big D shaped panel. Careful removing it, as mine broke, and they're weird to get back on. I don't remember which fuse it was, but I believe it's in the owner's manual. I ended up tying into the cigarette power, located right under the head unit, which kept me from going through the firewall or back to the trunk where the other fuse box is located. This also gave me the accessory "delay", which means the radio still plays (when I remove the key) until I open a door.

Chrysler 300 ACC Power Found IT
I had to run a wire to the window power which is a ACC source on the left front door, you can run in through the left kick panel and into in boot inside the left door up to the windows power. this is working fine for me. the radio comes on when I start the car and goes off when the door is opened.
