Anyone have an opinion as to suitability of these Vishay MKP1839 caps when used as coupling caps both between stages or at the output of a pre-amp?

Anything particularly good or bad stand out?
TIA

Unfortunately MKP1837 is only available up to 0.1uF. But Wima MKP10 goes up to 47uF, although only 4.7uF is available at Mouser....
I still have a bag of the mkp1837 here somewhere, I had bought them based on the Tony review.
An oem named Southern Electronics Corporation has made some much, much better parts that can be found via surplus vendors.

Tony Gee runs humble homemade hifi: Humble Homemade Hifi - Cap Test
My eyes still hurt after reading just a couple so called "tests" 🙄
WOW!!!!In the past capacitors were just capacitors and sound quality was determined by the dialectric material with polypropylene considered by many as "the best" seeing as this type of capacitor had the lowest losses.
microphony is the keyword - the mechanical resonance, a key feature of audio capacitors.
very neutral sounding capacitor ... nice smooth and calm approach .... balance of the midrange very pleasing letting acoustic instruments keep their natural warm tone. Absolute detail and air isn't quite up to the level of an Audyn Cap Plus or Mundorf Supreme but it comes very close although they do need some time to open up so don't judge them fresh out of the box. Spatiality is broad with reasonable depth but if you want "bowling alley" depth go for (the much more expensive) Mundorf Silver/Oil. Compared to the more luxurious Amp Ohm capacitors they are more 2D and a little rough,
And that was just in the FIRST "test" 🙄
There´s about 200 of them!!!! 😱
back to the OP: those are EXCELLENT caps, above the average, high precision, will work very well in any intended application.
Don´t get entangled in salesmen BS.
Capacitors from large manufacturers are good and of same quality.
IMO, the audio fuss about this basic electronics is mostly BS and snake oil.
Runaway from audio claims about capacitors, it simply cannot be, there is nothing audio in such components.

I have a similar prayer: "Dear Dog, Please don't let me hear sonic differences in caps like what that demon Tony Gee hears, Praise be to Dog."
So far, so good.

Is that the Electrocube product line?An oem named Southern Electronics Corporation has made some much, much better parts that can be found via surplus vendors.

I've used the 1839 - they are fine.
I also like the Illinois Cap MPW series. Blocked
Now, I use caps mostly from Kyet. https://datasheet.lcsc.com/szlcsc/2004241811_KYET-MPT105J2G1325_C521047.pdf

I've just left Vishay after a great 5 years as their product marketing manager for film capacitors covering the Americas region and now feel I can freely comment.
The MKP1837 is marked as "Not for New Design" so the parts will not be manufactured much longer. The MKP385 is listed as a suitable replacement and have been used in audio applications. The MKP385 has a wide range of voltage and cap values. It is important to note that there are 2 data sheets for this series. The standard data sheet and detailed data sheet.

The MKP1839 should remain available for some time, no plans to discontinue.

I have heard many good reviews of Vishay film caps for audio applications although my own knowledge is pretty limited. I am interested in audio but more so as a former DJ and now providing sound system rentals for parties, so I don't get down to the nuts and bolts of circuit design.
We had many customers in the audio market from boutique microphone companies, guitar amps/pedals and some three letter mega speaker brands I can't mention.
Some other parts that have found favor in the audio market
KP1830 & KP1836 - These are film/foil construction
MKT*** - MKT are the polyester film capacitors, there are a few series available
Vishay as a whole has a few other lines that have found favor in the audio market, some are listed at the below link
