Guys does anyone know what speaker coating is used for the cabinets as i am unable to find it out.I know the Duratex but it is very costly. What about the line-x bed liner as it is available in India.I just want to make my cabinets look like imported speaker boxes.Any other suggestions?????

I have just found a local bed liner manufacturer in my area.So I will apply it and post the results. Any other suggestions other than bed liner. What type of coating is of the jbl,ev,yamaha..... and other companies???

Speaker carpet looks very cheap. I want to coat it professionally.
Can polyurethane (PU) paint added with hardner can be used with textured roller???
Is there any diy technique that I can prepare?????
I am ready to bear the cost!!

Even a truck liner paint may not prove to be as durable as you'd like. There's a reason that much PA/ stage gear looks like it's been run over by the bus, or dropped off the stage. Kinda like sausages- you might love the taste, but don't ever watch them behind made 😱

Rubberized spray paint can have a good finish, you can use a new roller with no paint on after spraying to add more texture. I like the look yet it seems to rub off when touched so can't see it having a lasting finish so I wouldn't recommend it for PA Speakers.

Have you thought of leather? You can get various thickness's, colours and textures. I have seen PA Speakers in thick black leather they look good.

Don't use GATOR GUARD truck bed liner. Hard as hell .... and brittle/ chips easy. Plus if you roll it on , it has sharp points that will take your flesh off if the cabinet slides against bare skin.
I've heard good stuff about PPG Amercoat: Amerlock and PSX.
Sherwin Williams: Acrolon 100 polyurethane or Polyxiloxane 1K

WELTERSYS has about 200 years of experience in this area😉 maybe he could chime in.
Seriously though, Ive seen more recommendations for Line-x than most other types. Except Duratex ( which I use).
