PASS AM part gathering

I'm looking to build an Aleph Mini, currently trying to gather parts to order, for now I have found:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266392011176?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0 - the pcb
https://www.ebay.com/itm/156560013829 - mosfets
alternatively, but I'm not sure if it'd be best - https://www.ebay.com/itm/115126018088?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=wGG0QMocRHa

https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIU0SPC - enclosure

I'm also not quite sure about the PSU, what board / transformer should I use, and how to wire the potentiometer.

ACA or F5M or even Aleph Jzm (slightly down with rails and Iq) are better choices

besides having almost everything regarding how-to already on disposal, depending of your choice, it can be ubersimple or just simple

and, you'll support community and jolly people with your hard earned pounds

in general, nobody here likes straight knock-offs made without permission, while those circulating/available here are made with Pa's blessing

regarding case - when you're done with prediction/preference how many watts of heat you want in your amp of choice, then it's right time to ask for advice about case/size

while those circulating/available here are made with Pa's blessing

which reminds me - except mine ........

though, I like to think that I'm same as Obelix ......... while he fell as Kiddo in Magic Potion Cauldron, I like to think that I fell as Kiddo in Papa's Blessing Cauldron :devily:

even if I'm under eternal Papa's disgrace, after that

The Aleph (mini) has a differential input stage, driving a N channel MOSFET, loaded by a NMOS dynamic current source.

The closest "modern" design to that is the J2.
ACA or F5 variants are completely different topology.

For PCB, maybe it is worth taking a look here :

For MOSFETs, maybe ask the people here :

For the enclosure, we used the BZ3209 heatsink case for our Le Monster 2024, which has similar dissipation as the Aleph Mini :

If you like the J2 topology but do not want to pay for the Semisouth's, you can also consider the UDNeSS :
www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/udness-or-you-dont-need-semisouths.343164/

All the parts are still available at Mouser, Digikey, etc.
And Gerber files are published, so you can order your own :

See post #1 - there is a pdf for Aleph Mini builds. Drop me a PM if you’re interested in boards and matched transistors.
