Hello,
Requesting help or confirmation to my planned connections of an active and passive subwoofers and main speakers to an integrated amp. I have attached my planned connection diagram.
SPECS:
Amp : 1000 watts per channel stereo only and can accept speakers rated from 4 to 8 ohms. Have speakers A and B binding posts output terminals, L and R sub outs terminals and speakon outs for speakers as well.
Active Sub : 8 ohms, 175 watts. Only have 1 RCA LFE input. Have speaker line levels
Passive Sub : 4 ohms, 400 watts with only speakon input
Basically, my plan is to hook up the active sub RCA LFE input to amp using only one RCA cable. Since there are 2 RCA’s, L&R sub outs in amp, where should I connect it? Left or Right sub out?
Then, I plan to connect my passive sub through the binding posts speaker outs of the amp.
Finally, my main speakers will be connected to the amps speakons terminals.
Will this work? May I have your expert suggestions/advise please.
Thanks,
Rey

Wiring up your passive sub to the speaker terminals on the integrated amp will feed full range signal to the sub unless the amp has an active crossover to divide the signal(this would also crossover the signal going to the speakon connectors...).
The speaker wire push connectors on your active sub are pass through for passive full range speakers, infact its probably going to crossover the sub bass out from the full range signal.
The only option with your current set up is maybe tap into the speaker wires inside the active sub and wire your passive sub in series with it, this will increase the ohms seen by the active sub's amp and probably half the wattage output.(make sure you wire it in series not parallel, it may damage the amp otherwise)
Other than that you will a separate amp(with crossover) like another plate amp thats in your active sub to run the passive sub and connect it through the line out RCA's on your main amp.

What are the speaker and sub models in question and is this a home audio setup or something mobile?
The speaker binding posts on the amp will be in parallel with the speakon connectors so you have to be careful with the total impedance load presented to the amp when doing this.
The powered sub appears to be a home audio version, are the other boxes the same or are they more of a DJ speaker? If so mixing these probably won't work to well.. the powered sub just won't produce enough output to keep up.

Hi, thanks for your reply. This is just a home/indoor set up. Just want to find ways utilizing my long idle subs. What are the speaker and sub models in question and is this a home audio setup or something mobile?

Hi, another option for me is to hook up my powered mixer to the integrated amplifier from its line out. And then just use the powered mixer to make my passive sub active. For this set up, which output from powered mixer i should connect my passive sub? I understand i will need a special cable with speakon on at one end and 1/4 jack on the other. So, the set up will be: main speakers connected to integrated amp speaker outputs, line out of integrated amp to powered mixer, sub out of integrated amp to powered sub and passive sub to powered mixer. I think this will work but just need guidance in hooking up powered mixer to sub and if there are adjustments/settings i need to do in powered mixer. What are the speaker and sub models in question and is this a home audio setup or something mobile?
