Hi!
I'd tried to pair the digital amplifier Sabaj A30A via the USB-C input with a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W loaded with Picoreplayer 8.3.0 as a streamer (digital source). I used Pi -> micro-USB OTG -> male USB-A to male USB-C -> Sabaj A30A. With OTG cable in the chain Sabaj could display 44.1 on the USB display (with a single cable micro-usb to usb-c it could not) But the Pi continue to be unable to see the Sabaj. (aplay -l show me no soundcard) I think it is maybe a setting output problem or a problem related with the micro-usb - usb-c chain. Any help?
Thank you!

You might try lsusb to see what usb devices the pi is seeing with different cables. Add the -v option with the command to get more detail
New member here. I joined, because I have this exact same problem with my raspberry pi, which was doing fine as a Roon endpoint into a Schiit Bifrost. When I swap out the Bifrost and have it go to the Sabaj with male USB A to male USB-C at the other end, it is unrecognized. Swap it back to the Bifrost and no problems with Pi seeing it and Roon playing.Hi!

Maybe Pi only recognizes female USB A input on a dac? Is it a voltage thing?
It seems that Raspberry Pi has a problem with some USB sound "cards". I've recently posted in the RPi forum https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=345191. I have Sabaj A4 - now being discounted! - the A30 is much more expensive, my speakers probably don't justify the extra money.
Hi!
Is there a hat for Raspberry Pi Zero 2W to extract the audio I2S output? I'd like to try the Sabaj A30A with the I2S input because there is no solution so far with the USB.

You don't need a HAT, as the I2S data is output via the GPIO pins:Hi!

GPIO 18 (Pin12) is BITCLOCK;
GPIO 19 (Pin 35) is LRCLOCK;
GPIO 20 (Pin 38) is DATA IN;
GPIO 21 (Pin 40) is DATA OUT
Thank you! But now how to end this in an HDMI cable? Sorry for being so noob...You don't need a HAT, as the I2S data is output via the GPIO pins:

I don't know the A30A, but looking at photo's online I can't see a HDMI input, only USB-C, Optical, Coax and RCA?
You are 100% right. thank you. I have DAC's with I2S input but the Sabaj A30A doesn't. Thank you! I have to think to something else now. Coax or optical.HDMI Cable?

BTW: The latest version of piCorePlayer is 8.2.0 (not 8.3.0)
Hello guys. I just wanted to ask how raspberry pi zero 2w performs with jivelite and flac files? I want to build portable 4tb player but after quick test rp4 8gb no display at this moment and currently on flash driver final project usb 2.5" sata or nvme depends of power consumption but the problem is that two 18650 gives only 2-3hr playback juce with khadas tone2 pro
