I came across a discussion about this on another audio message board.
It's a YouTube upload advertising a calendar, the sales of which are for the benfit of a USA ex-service men/womens' charity.
The models are all ex service women themselves. They make one every year. I thought they were very dignified. It is deliberately made in a "retro" style.
What amused me was the interest shown on the message board, in the vintage radio in the scene featuring Davina.
That's men and their hobbies for you.
Apparently one of the women, Jana served for 20 years as a pilot.
She flew one of these.

Around here that is a very ordinary decorators' radio.
I think you've missed my point. The "interest around there" was just the several contributors' ability to recognise the make and model of the radio from the brief look available.

Can you attach the images to the forum rather than hotlinking to a image hosting site, too many images go dead leaving lots of empty space.
You can edit your first post to attach the image.

And you've missed mine. Please don't take offense.I think you've missed my point.
With due respect and praising their good intention, some of those girls are not that attractive, sorry, at least as shown, plus most of the clothing shown is poorly chosen, and that´s an understatement.
While the Radio used as a prop is interesting to aficionados and I was stunned by the beautiful French style castle, go figure.
That calendar would have profited immensely from hiring an experienced PRO to dress and train the girls, also to direct Photographer to get the best angles.
As is, it will doubtlessly "sell", but mostly on Patriotic grounds.

I think that's entirely the point, don't you?
Clearly.
That said, it wouldn´t hurt making it easy on the eyes too.
What irks me is that they COMPLETELY missed the point, big time.
Not surprising in the Politically Correct era, bowing to the "new rules", but THIS is what was meant by "Military Pin Up girls" back in the day, when it really mattered.
Note: all material below copypasted from historical WW2 related sites:
None less Patriotic than:
LOTS more in:

and many similar ones
Hey, it was official policy way back then.

I think you're making too much of this.
It's just some ex-service women doing their bit, making a calendar for a charity supporting other ex-service Vets men/women
Not professional models.
It's not the first year they've done it.
I'm beginning to regret posting the link.
I just thought it was both interesting and commendable.
(The general feeling on similar boards on which I've posted it. the contributors who must have a different attitude from some on here).
Not a gesture to be nit-picked.
But there you go, that's some message boards for you.

Very good Calendar picture and PROVING once more (as if it were necessary) that the Soviets were 100 years more advanced than the so called "West" as far as "Woman´s rights" and "equality" are concerned, even if "the West" makes such a BIG fuss about it today.Got a fantastic calendar a few years ago (well, I bought it myself). This is January Pin-Up.

Oh well.
Valery Barykin's posters are not original USSR "Soviet" era posters, but influenced by them and mixing American sexistic style.

Finnish farmhouse matrons have made several pin-up calendars lately, and eg. fireworkers boy calendars!

I found this one in an electronics shop in Ufa, Bashkortostan. How to put out a short-circuit fire:
- Home
- Member Areas
- The Lounge
- Pin Ups
