Hi, I have a paid of audioengine a5+ powered speakers and basically the aux port on my computer isn't working very well so I can't use the RCA to AUX cable. I bought an RCA to USB cable in the hope that I could simply use it with my computers USB port however no audio is produced, a feedback noise is made when I made insert the USB but music doesn't actually play.
This may seem like a pretty stupid question but what do I do?😕
Cheers

As far as I know, there's really no such thing as a "RCA to USB" cable. RCA connectors pass analog sounds, while USB carries digital data on several wires.
There are many USB "sound card" devices available, some quite inexpensive. Turtle Beach makes one for under $20 that will plug into your USB connector and give you audio. There are plenty of others.

That´s right. What you need is a DAC with USB input and RCA output. There are some very good DAC´s out there, and not very expensive.

As noted, there really is no such thing. What you have is some sort of converter. Can you tell us the brand and type (or even better, a web link)?
