what makes you think its 'audiophile' after the mods? All the measurement I have seen show it to be pretty rubbish.
im not stating that its on a audiophile level , i only called it an audiophile playstation so people no what i was talking about

I spent far to long chasing the rumour of an audiophile player hidden inside the PS1.
It just wasn't good enough and I spent good money on nice bits which was wasted.
It was OK ish...but I was led to believe it would blow me away - it didn't
Be careful using the now daft word ' audiophile ' too.
It's too emotive in this world unfortunately awash with supposed experts.
It's almost the direct equivalent of the word WAN..R !! lol 🙂
Sadly this place has plenty of them......audio magazine reading deaf heads who'd play chopsticks on a piano after telling you they can play....
