This is my first thread so bare with me 😛
I have a Luxman LV - 113 amp i've bought a long time ago... I had it sitting there but finally it's time had come to shine. However when i connected two speakers and an input (old cassete player) i got no sound at all. So i cranked the volume to maximum level and came really close to the speaker only to hear a reaally quiet sound coming out. I pressed every button possible (not randomly ofc 😛 ) and still got no sound. Then i connected headphones to test it. With the volume at maximum level and headphones on , there is sound but it is too quiet you can barely hear anything. So i had no clue what was going on, then i tried pressing the line straight (which i guess is the equievalent of bypass) and got normal sound. I checked the fuse and it's ok. So in conclusion the amp works with headphone and only when the line straight button is pressed.
I will post a picture of the block diagram which leads me to assume the problem is somewhere in the "line straight" section.
Any help would be appreciated 🙂 !

LV113 is common to have plenty of problems in the selector switch area and other related switches like the line str8 and tone bypass
problem is that silver plated contacts inside the other than that sealed switch get oxidized or black if you like . After that it is expected that known sprays are not capable of cleaning that.
At east electronics we use both chemicals that can clean that and ultrasonic gun for a better and more clean result.
Yet again oxidized switch from a broken switch is obviously a different story If your switches are dead these are nowhere to be found so a mix matching of switches might help or bypassing some of them
Other than that expect some of the electrolytics to need a replacement while a solder work down under is also in order

Ok so i located the subsonic and loudness switches and checked them with a continuity meter... there is no contact between any of the legs of the switch no matter if it's depressed or not. I find it kinda difficult to bypass it as there is no indication on what legs are connected when it's pressed. I tried following the traces on the pcb but stil i can't figure out how to bypass it..

Have you connected signal processor out and in via a cable ?
Line straight bypasses that loop, I'm sure it is the problem.

Omg -_- .. i'm gonna try it , if that's the problem i think i might be stupid after all 😛 I haven't had experience with such amplifiers before
