I was impressed by the review of this made in China amp where he actually opens it up
for a look inside. How about those 6L6GCs for 15W? Sounds good too:

This guy measures about 25W:

Perhaps the real Tiny Terror!
Might be good inspiration for a cheap build.

Its a 25W amp disguised as a 15W one. Sounds really good, hard to beat for the money. Would be interested to see the circuit.
Two questions:
1. weren't those $600 and now 750? Post covid taxes?
2. Isn't it burned pcb below one of the big resistors in the middle: https://www.gitarrebass.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/PRS-MT15_3.jpg

I got mine yesterday.
It has 5881 output tubes and ecc83s from JJ Tubes.
It cost me 550 euro's after tax.

Not me, not at all.I was impressed by the review

Very CLUMSY review, he mixes Vp with Vpp (he later corrects himself but shouldn´t have made the mistake in the first place), can not explain V RMS ("it´s too complicated, it has something to do with DC voltage"),displays a too wide sinewave , slightly wider than scope screen width, he should have displayed 1.5 to 2 sinewves so we have at least 1 full guaranteed view, hs stays seconds at clipping, in fact he barely approaches it, and turns signal down.
This is a Guitar amp, not a Hi Fi one (he´s already at 7% distortion before reaching clipping) so he should have driven it further until he reaches real flat topping, not bare "bending".
Again, this is a *guitar* amp.
To boot, when reaching supply rails, ripple appears modulating signal tops, he didn´t reach that point.
Yes, it sounds good.
TT does it with a couple EL84 and tiny iron, this one has iron enough for a 50W or even 100W build. 😱This guy measures about 25W:

Nothing cheap here 🙁, expen$$$ive iron, a large cabinet and chassis, complex circuit, doubt DIY (using commercial parts) can beat full Chinese made amp.Might be good inspiration for a cheap build.
I honestly can’t imagine who would care about measuring output power of a guitar amp. Sound and convince are only two thing that should matter. IMO
Diy a high gain amp is not easy.
And this thing is cheap and sounds good.
It does exel in high gain sounds, the clean channel is not that good but eats pedals well.
I feel some mods comming up.
