I just bought a home and got a PSB SubSonic 6i subwoofer as part of the setup. The fuse keeps blowing immediately on powering up. No light or sound comes from the unit.
There is no other visible damage or burnt parts. The speaker seems fine.
Looking for some solution that will help solve this problem.
Thank you.

Hi. I had 6i until recently and about a year ago I had same failure. Inrush resistor 100% Good luck
Almost forgot. You have to remove that stabilizing glue all around. After years of heat it becomes conductive - cause of failure
Hello Lewart,
Thank you for the suggestions.
How do I remove the glue all around? Is there a way to dissolve it?
Please elaborate / clarify on the earlier suggestion of "Inrush resistor 100%". What needs to be done here?
Thank you.

Hi. The inrush resistor needs to be replaced. I don’t remember the value. And the glue can’t be dissolved. But it can be gently chipped away from pcb with a sharp tool ( knife ,scalpel or simply small exacto knife) Not a big deal it’s not on the printed side.
If the resistor were open it wouldn't even try to power on since it is in series with the transformer & shorted by a relay a few ms after, but could be gone low resistance...The inrush resistor needs to be replaced.
Can You disconnect the PSU rails from the amp ?
That rules out the transformer, bridge & smoothing caps.
Highly unlikely but it maybe something else. However 99% it will be inrush It’s a 99 cent part. Try it first.
VERY much I doubt that.Almost forgot. You have to remove that stabilizing glue all around. After years of heat it becomes conductive - cause of failure
Even less that it becomes sub-ohm so as to *short* power supply.
And typically it does not even touch tracks, it´s applied on the "component" side of PCB gluing cap bodies (which to boot vare surrounded by an insulating sleeve) yo insulated part of PCB.
I´d rather think blown sub amplifier.
Start by disconnecting speaker and plugging power supply and amplifier into a light bulb limiter.
What happens?
How does bulb shine?
What voltages do you measure at power rails?
And across speaker out terminals?
