Hi, 1st time poster, I have a Pure evoke 3 radio, on mains power it works as it should, when on battery fully charged, pressing standby turns off the radio but it immediately comes back on, there is no way of turning it off permanently without plugging in the charger or removing the battery.
Any idea's please?

How do I do this pleaseStab in the dark , have you tried resetting it to the factory defaults . You will lose all your presets etc though .

No it didn’t. But opening it properly I did see this and bridged it with solder, seems to have done the trick.Did it work?

Is that part correctly soldered, it looks almost like the solder curves awayd from the lower end of it. Is it a diode or some fusible circuit protector I wonder.

That kind of thing is actually very typical of manufacturer modifications to alter something during a production run. I agree it could be a diode, but I can't piece the circuitry together just from that.
