Can anyone suggest a good PWM controller IC. It will be used in a Half-Bridge converter and then possibly in a Full-Bridge configuration too. All suggestions are welcomed, as I have never used a PWM IC with feedback control before.
TL494, or 598 if you like totem-pole outputs. Or UC3525, etc. Same basic chips, the latter is faster and beefier.
Unfortunately, drive capacity of these doesn't really help much, because the bipolar output stages don't drive a coupling transformer very well, and you'll probably be using a transformer, or an IR2101 type driver, to run the bridge.

Thanks for that. I think i will probably experiment with the UC3525 PWM controller and use it with a driver IC. I guess there are application schematic diagrams available on the data sheet for the UC3525. As i've never used this IC before, are there any schematics available for the UC3525 to start the ball rolling???
